Meet the Team

Joseph BierFauble crawled onto the court at the Champaign Park District in the fall of 1988 and thus, began his lifelong passion for the game of tennis. Joe’s father, David Fauble, has taught and coached tennis in Illinois for over 40 years. Joe began assistant teaching with his father at the Urbana Country Club at the age of 13, working with both junior and adult classes and workouts. When the family moved to Quincy, Illinois, Joe continued to teach tennis. He played Varsity tennis his freshman through senior years, going to state 3 times playing doubles and winning 2 sectional doubles titles. Joe started teaching professionally for the Champaign Park District at the age of 19. He became USPTA certified at the age of 22 and continued to work in for the CPD until the age of 27, eventually become a Senior Pro. Joe moved to Quincy in 2015. While he pursued his interest in cooking, he assistant coached boys’ Quincy Notre Dame tennis team for a season. He then joined IHSA hall of fame coach Mike Terry as the assistant for both the Quincy High School boys’ and girls’ team. After 19 years of teaching and playing tennis, Joe continues to learn new ways to improve his teaching skills and adapting those skills to the needs of his individual students, as well as improving his own game. Professional highlights include successfully running, solo, an adult-workout group with 34 players of all skills, hitting 367 back and forth without missing with a 12-year-old student, coaching dozens of players to the state tournament and several tennis scholarships, and most importantly helping people learn and fall in love with the great game of tennis.

Emerick Fulton started his tennis career in his hometown of Peoria and has been playing for 8 years. He played varsity at Peoria Notre Dame High School and Millikin University where he was captain for 4 years. As captain, he ran team practices at Millikin and assisted coaching for the Millikin women’s tennis team.
