The Arthritis Foundation Aquatic Prgram is conducted in warm water (a minimum of 83 degrees) and can be geared to participants with different ability levels. Exercises in the class improves range of motion, muscle strength andendurance. Participants improve their joint flexibility and reduce their pain and stiffness while supported by the water’s buoyancy and resistance.
Known as the Zumba party, the Aqua Zumba program gives new meanings to the idea of an invigorating workout. Splashing, stretching, twisting, even shouting, laughing, hollering and hooting are often heard during an Aqua Zumba Class. Integrating Zumba formula and philosophy with traditional aqua fitness disciplines, the Aqua Zumba class blends it all together into a safe, challenging, water-based workout, cardio-conditioning, body-toning, and most of all, exhilarating beyond belief!
The water is your source of resistance. You control it by your effort. Push hard and the water pushed back hard, push easy and the water pushes back easily. You can make your training efforts any difficulty level you choose by varying your own effort.
